Government ICT Portfolio Management

The Agency for Digital Government plays an important role in ensuring high levels of professionalism in ICT projects and system portfolios in the Danish Government. This is crucial for public spending allocated to ICT systems in the Danish public sector.

To ensure efficient management of ICT projects and systems in the Danish Government, the Agency for Digital Government has a number of responsibilities.

These responsibilities include serving the members of the National ICT Council and advising on ICT operations in the Danish public sector. In the advisory capacity, the Agency for Digital Government has developed two cross-governmental models: one for ICT projects (the ICT Project Model) and one for ICT system portfolios (the ICT System Portfolio Model).

Additionally, we develop and run the Danish Government Digital Academy, which focuses on digital training for top managers and civil servants in ministries and government agencies. The aim of the academy is to provide civil servants with the skills needed to navigate a digital public sector, including the skills necessary for the management of ICT projects and portfolios.
