Consultancy Secretariat for IT operations
The Consultancy Secretariat for ICT operations was established as a direct response to an analysis of the central government's outsourced ICT operations. The secretariat’s objective is to further the professionalization of government authorities' procurement and management of outsourced ICT operations.
All evidence and observations indicate that there are substantial benefits linked to increased focus on professionalizing outsourced ICT operations. In 2012 a coordinated effort was therefore launched in order for government authorities to benefit from shared experiences and knowledge on best practice for procurement and management of outsourced ICT operations.
The initiative is embedded in the Counseling Secretariat for ICT operations in the Agency for Digitisation, who is tasked with advising and facilitating cross-governmental knowledge sharing. At the same time the secretariat facilitates a contract portfolio of large ICT operations contracts in the government.
The Counseling Secretariat for ICT operations has published its second status report on outsourced ICT operations.
