The Digital Strategy 2016-2020 off to a good start

The portfolio steering committee for the common public sector digital strategy 2016-2020 met for the first time in August 2016. By the end of 2016, 28 of the strategy’s 33 initiatives was up and running.

The Agency for Digitisation is responsible for, and contributes actively to, a number of the strategy’s initiatives, especially initiatives related to user-friendliness, data sharing, information security and tendering procedures for the next generation of NemID (digital signature/eID), NemLog-in (single sign-on) and Digital Post (digital letter box). A brief status report is given below.

A more user-friendly digital public sector

The previous digital strategy for the period 2011-2015 introduced mandatory digital communication between public sector authorities, citizens and enterprises by law. This requires public sector digital solutions that are both up-to-date and easy to use so that citizens and enterprises have confidence in the new digital services.
