The use of frequencies usually requires a licence from the agency. There are also frequencies for unlicensed use.
The agency may issue rulings in case of violation of the Frequency Act or rules and terms. Violation of certain regulations in the Act may be punishable by a fine.
Agency for Digital Government supervises compliance with the Frequency Act and rules and terms laid down in pursuance of the Frequency Act. In case of interference supervision will mainly be undertaken on the basis of complaints received.
In this supervision top priority will be given to cases involving interference that may cause danger to human life or health. Next The Danish Agency for Data Supply and Infrastructure will prioritise cases involving interference that cannot cause danger to human life or health cases involving other violations of the Frequency Act and the rules and terms laid down in pursuance of the Frequency Act.
The use of radio frequencies in Denmark is regulated through the Act on Radio Frequencies.
The use of radio frequencies in Denmark is regulated through the Act on Radio Frequencies (Act no. 151 of January 2021) which applies to the use of radio frequencies as well as to the supervision of interference of radio equipment.

The spectrum policy framework mandate sets the overall political framework for prioritising frequencies and for spectrum management in general.
Thus the framework mandate constitutes the overall framework for the Agency for Digital Government's administration of the frequency area.
A number of competencies are conferred on the Minister for Digital Affairs. For example the Minister will decide in case of frequency scarcity which method should be adopted for assigning licences if essential public interest considerations have to be met when the licences are issued.
The agency is in charge of radio spectrum management in Denmark.
The Agency for Digital Government lays down a frequency plan within the terms of the spectrum policy framework mandate and based on international cooperation in the field of radio frequencies including EU. The frequency plan contains an overview of how spectrum resources are to be deployed in Denmark.

The agency holds frequency auctions when there is spectrum scarcity. The agency issues frequency licences when an auction has ended. These licences may come with certain obligations.
