Tanja Franck to Become New Director General of the Agency for Digitisation

On 1 February 2021, Tanja Franck assumes office as new Director General of the Agency for Digitisation.

Tanja Franck comes to the Agency for Digitisation from her position as Managing Director of the Employment and Integration Administration of the City of Copenhagen, a position she has held since 2018.

Franck has many years of experience as a senior manager from her previous positions as Director General of the Danish Immigration Service, as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, and as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Employment. Her qualifications include strategic and political development, advising politicians, operational management, and stakeholder engagement. Franck will lead the agency during an interesting time with several significant and exciting challenges.

From her current position at the City of Copenhagen, Franck has extensive knowledge of the field of digital government, and the potentials and challenges presented by the development and implementation of new digital services for citizens and businesses.

The Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, Peter Stensgaard Mørch, says:

With her comprehensive experience as senior manager and her motivation to improve the public sector, Tanja is the right choice to head the agency and its work to improve the digital public sector in Denmark.

Tanja Franck is eager to assume office, saying:

The agency has an important and exciting mission. Tanja Franck lives in Copenhagen, is 49 years old, and holds an MSc in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen.

Tanja Franck will assume office on 1 February 2021. She fills the place left vacant by Rikke Hougaard Zeberg, who is assuming office as Director of the digital branch of the Confederation of Danish Industry as well as the overall digital agenda of the Confederation of Danish Industry.
